Construction company questions
How do I choose a construction company in Bangladesh?
Ask for a written quote with a BOQ that names rod grade, cement brand and brick class, check two or three finished buildings, confirm the site engineer’s IEB membership, and agree stage payments instead of a large advance. We check these points before we list a firm.
How much does building construction cost per sq ft in 2026?
Residential construction costs about ৳1,800 to ৳2,500 per sq ft for the structure and standard finishing, and commercial buildings about ৳2,500 to ৳3,500. Land, design fees, approval, the boundary wall and interiors are extra.
What is the difference between grey structure and turnkey construction?
Grey structure covers the foundation, RCC frame, slabs and brickwork. Turnkey continues through plaster, tiles, doors, windows, sanitary, electrical and paint, so you receive a building ready to live in.
Do I need a project manager if I already have a contractor?
It helps on larger jobs or when you live abroad. The project manager tracks the schedule and budget, prices every change and makes the architect, engineer and contractor work to one plan.
What does site supervision check?
Rebar size, spacing and cover before each pour, concrete mix and test cubes, curing, brickwork, plaster and waterproofing. Each stage should be checked and signed off before you pay for it.
Can the same team do the interior after the building?
